What is .NET?
Microsoft .NET is one of the best ways to connect systems,
information and devices through web services so people transfer
information more effectively and securely.
Microsoft .NET Framework is the programming model developed by
Microsoft for building, deploying and running these web-based
applications, smart client applications and XML web services. It
effectively manages much of the background 'plumbing', taking care
of the connectivity and security.

Do I need .NET?
Some of our products require .NET Framework v3.5. This is shown
in the System Requirements details of each product.
Do I already have .NET installed?

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, the box above
shows if you already have .NET Framework installed on this PC. If
you don't have it installed, please see below for details of how to
obtain .NET Framework.
How do I obtain .NET Framework?
You can download .NET Framework v3.5 from the Microsoft
website.
If you are installing one of our products which requires .NET
Framework and you don't already have it on your PC, the
installation routine installs it automatically, if necessary.
Note: The installation of .NET Framework may
add several minutes to the installation time of your Sage
product.
